GENERAL NOTES:
The film exists in a handful of versions:
- the German domestic version (82 minutes) with covered takes;
- the continental version (84 minutes) with nude takes;
- the 1962 American "Horrors of Spider Island" version (77 minutes) which is based on the continental version but cuts away from nudity (rather than using the covered takes) and includes the covered take of the skinny-dipping scene;
- the 1965 American "It's Hot in Paradise" (77 minutes) nudie version which does not reinstate the cut nudity but features the nude version of the skinny-dipping scene.
