OVERALL: Draw
The R2 German release from Universum is in the film's original aspect ratio (1.66:1), with anamorphic enhancement. Incidentally, it also seems to be struck from a better print than all of the other releases too. However, it's not English-friendly.
R2 UK release and R1 have English subtitles (UK version has a trailer).
R2 Japanese release seems to be anamorphic (only Japanese subtitles).
R2 German release has German DD 5.1 track (and some extra-features), but no English subtitles and itīs also cut.
OAR is 1.66:1, and German is considered as the original language. -
CUTS:
- R1 America- Image Entertainment - No cuts (83:46 NTSC)
- R2 Germany- Polyband - Yes - Censored during the murder scenes
- R2 Germany- Universum - No cuts (80:24 PAL)
- R2 Japan- Trash Mountain Video / Epcot - No cuts
- R2 United Kingdom- Oracle Home Entertainment - No cuts (80:24 PAL)
