CUTS:

• R2 United Kingdom- Network - Yes - There are numerous cuts to several episodes. It's possible these edited versions were originally used in daytime slots on the Granada Plus TV channel. The Ad Caps are intact, but the LWT Idents are missing:
  - "Silver Dollar" - The gang attack on the petrol station at the beginning of the episode is cut to remove scene showing the gang all 'emptying' their automatic sub-machine guns into the shop shelves and stock (approx 1 minute cut). The gang's second attack on a shop is completely removed (approx 35 seconds cut).
  - "Love You To Death" - Three edits before the opening credits. All shots of the sniper loading and manipulating the gun have been removed. Also a few seconds of the 'sight' view tracking round have also been removed (total, approx 16 seconds cut). When Dempsey bursts through the door of the derelict house and the shotgun blast impacts next to him, his second, third and fourth returning shots have been badly edited out, with lots of film noise at the edit points (approx 3 seconds cut). When Catherine attacks Makepeace in her house, various views of the knife have been cut (approx 5 seconds cut).
  - "No Surrender" - The scene where the 'freed' hostage is shot is cut to remove the shot of him being hit and falling onto the police car (approx 4 seconds cut).
  - "Tequila Sunrise" - The murder of the 'bird man' at the start of the episode is trimmed to remove shots showing him being actually being shot, and the assassin turning and running to the getaway car (approx 3 seconds cut). Two shots of a chip being fried in the cafe scene have been cut, as well as the shot showing/implying the cafe owner's hand has been shoved in the frying oil (approx 18 seconds cut). The shootout at the end of the episode is heavily edited to remove various shots of Dempsey, Makepeace and the villains shooting at each other, with various objects being hit (approx 25 seconds cut).
  - "In The Dark" - The scene where Dempsey presses the car bonnet down on Dowsett is trimmed to remove the repeated pressing on the bonnet and a few lines of dialogue including Dempsey's "...or I'm going to do some push-ups on your bonnet". The scene that follows this is also cut for time, removing the shot of D&M driving up to, and arriving at Sharon's house (approx 24 seconds cut).
  - "The Bogeyman" - Dempsey's fist fight with Lyman at the end of the episode is cut to remove Dempsey's repeated punches, and the blood on Lyman's face (approx 16 seconds cut).
