OVERALL: Draw
Between the Code Red release for the remastered transfer for the Unrated Version and exclusive extras and the UK 2-disc release from Anchor Bay for both versions of the film, differing (though minor) extras and 5.1 and DTS remixes for the Unrated Version. Just note, that the Code Red release has the original mono.
A UK release from 88 films is also available.
Three versions of this film exist:
- the US R-rated version.
- the US unrated version (93 minutes)
- the extended version (100 minutes). -
CUTS:
- R0 America- Code Red - No cuts - Shorter US Unrated Version.
- R0 Germany- VMP - No cuts. Extended Version (99:33 PAL)

R0 United Kingdom- Prism Direct/Leisure - Yes - This is the shorter version, which includes the following cuts:
- A shot of a young maiden having her head chopped off.
- A shot of the basement bloke having his neck broken.
- A shot of pigs attacking a woman in a bath and eating her guts.
- Shots of the priest with a nail in his head.
- A shot of a teacher having their head splatted by Coopersmith.
- A shot of a pig eating the fat kid.
- A shot of a kid breaking a window.
- Additional shots of pigs eating (in a violent manner).
- Another head chop sequence.
- A shot of a kid banging on a door to escape.
- A 4th head chop sequence.
- A shot of a kid being eaten in an air vent.
- A shot of a kid running from the pigs.
- A shot of a heart ripping.
- A shot of Coopersmith's digital image.
- Also it appears that the credits have been sped up, the normal credit sequence runs 2mins 30secs (PAL) and the sped up credits run for 1mins 15secs (PAL). - R1 America- Anchor Bay Entertainment - No cuts - US Unrated Version (gore scenes restored, but is missing 10 mins of footage). Prior to its US theatrical release, the distributors were forced to cut much of its graphic violence to avoid an "X"-rating from the MPAA. Those scenes are now restored.
