OVERALL: Blu-ray ALL
Only version so far.
Edited from Géza von Radványi's Uncle Tom's Cabin with new footage by Al Adamson.
The original film by director Géza von Radványi was shot in 1964/5, released at 170 minutes in Germany in 1965. A cutdown version was released in the USA in 1969 at 118 minutes but did no business. Sam Sherman picked it up for Independent-International, cut it drastically and had Al Adamson write and direct much new footage to get an R-rating (the '69 release was for a general audience). This had a profitable release in 1977 cashing in on the success of Mandingo (1975) and Drum (1976). -
