GENERAL NOTES:
The English export cut titled "Hell's Creatures" was prepared in Italy and features soundtrack cues from Bruno Nicolai's score for Eugenie... the Story of Her Journey Into Perversion rather than the original Ángel Arteaga score. The U.S. version dispensed with the first reel including the masked ball and the trio of protagonists visiting the Wolfstein castle, opening after an animated title sequence with Waldemar encountering the gypsies on his drive back from the castle (the material has been reinstated on Media Blasters' DVD). The film was shot in 3D 65mm and Independent-International attempted a 3D reissue with 65mm Spanish elements painstakingly conformed to the English version (not only in having to cut the first reel but having to synchronize the English track to the Spanish version since the export version has several editing variances from the Spanish version), but the reissue was unsuccessful due to the cheap acrylic 3D lenses the backers developed for the release.
This film is also known as:
- "The Mark of the Werewolf"
- "The Vampire of Dr. Dracula"
- "The Werewolf's Mark"
- "The Wolfman of Count Dracula" -
