This series was made on 35mm film and exists in two versions:
(1.) The original 5-part serial which is an Anglo-German-Italian co-production first screened in Germany in 1980 (225 minutes NTSC = 217 minutes PAL).
(2.) The feature film digest version (102 minutes NTSC = 98 minutes PAL).
