The US release has a David Kalat commentary, an alternate French version of the film and other lengthy extras.
The French "Coffret Fritz Lang" release has differing exclusive extras.
The German release has exclusive extras, including a lengthy Fritz Lang interview, only seen as an excerpt on the US release.
The UK releases have a newly updated David Kalat commentary.
The Scandinavian edition has an LPCM audio track but no extras.
Note the following German versions of the film:
- 124 minute premiere version screened in Budapest, Hungary (presumed lost)
- 111 minute German theatrical version
- 121 minute restored version by the German Film Institute
The film was simultaneously shot by Lang in French:
- 95 minute French language version "Le Testament de Dr. Mabuse" (English subtitled version "The Last Will of Dr. Mabuse")
There was a re-edited American version using the German cut and dubbed in English
