GENERAL NOTES:
"Jade" was filmed in an aspect ratio of 1:85:1, but at the request of Director William Friedkin, VHS, DVD, and Laserdisc versions of the film are presented full frame, in the 1:33:1 aspect ratio. (It is available in widescreen on Blu-ray.)

The film exists in three versions:
- US theatrical cut (95 mins)
- International theatrical cut (95 mins)
- unrated director’s cut (108 mins) featuring some additional sex and violence as well as additional dialogue scenes and an extended ending.

The differences between the US and international theatrical cuts:
- The sex scene at around 50 minutes (NTSC) / 48 minutes (PAL) is more explicit in the international cut.
- The sex scene at around 79 minutes (NTSC) / 76 minutes (PAL) is 16 seconds longer.
