GENERAL NOTES:
The film exists in at least three versions:
- the Italian version (~102 minutes);
- the American version (~86 minutes) with exclusive footage shot by Polselli including wraparound footage that depicts Hargitay as a Vietnam vet and two additional murders including one of a character who does not appear at all in the Italian version (which changes the motivation of one of the characters during the climax) and the perpetrator of one of the last killings through re-editing;
- the French version (~94 minutes) with sex inserts. -
