OVERALL: Draw
The SE release has a widescreen transfer and the best extras.
However the double feature release includes "Deadline Auto Theft" and a unique documentary.
Fans of the film may consider both versions, otherwise the choice is yours as to what is more important.
Note:
The entire original score for this film has been replaced with a generic new one. All Hoyt Axton’s songs on the soundtrack are gone, and his credit on the opening titles is also cut. Some of the original music can still be heard in some of the special features. -
CUTS:
- R1 America- Navarre Corporation - No cuts, though the original score and songs have been replaced.
- R1 Special Edition America- Navarre Corporation - No cuts, though the original score and songs have been replaced.
