Director James Wan has taken the opportunity to remove the metal songs (including 'Bite the Hand That Bleeds' over the end credits) that were originally added as a 'marketing' decision. A couple of scenes are trimmed (see cut details below) but the extra gore from the other Unrated versions is here. -
Easter eggs:DISC ONE
- From the Main Menu, go into the Pieces of the Puzzle. Now move to Chapters 19 – 21. Move to Chapter 20 and press down to highlight the bloody soap dispenser. Press Enter to see the film in 1:05 seconds with puppets voicing the characters.
- From the Main Menu, go into Sounds. Now move down to Play Movie and press right to highlight the chain at the bottom. Select it to get a weblink to check out when you’re on the Internet: www.backofyourmind.net
- While in the Sounds, select the Audio Commentaries. Move to the On option for the first commentary and press left to highlight the left water tap. Select it to see the film in 1:05 with the use of puppets.
DISC TWO
- From the Main Menu, select Dissection. Move to the Menu option and press right to reveal Jigsaw’s puppet. Press Enter to see a 2:21 segment called Cast and Crew on Billie the Puppet. Here the cast and crew say nice things about their wooden co-star.
- From the Main Menu, select Cut Media. Move to the chain on the lower-left corner and press up to reveal a white X. Select it to see a message that says you don’t need 90 minutes to watch a movie. Furthermore, you only have 60 SECONDS. Press Enter on GO! to proceed. If not, you may go back to the main menu. If you’ve got the guts, se-lect GO! and see another 1:05 version featuring puppets.

OVERALL: Draw
Between the R2 German 3-disc release, which has both cuts of the film (as well as a third disc with OST), and the R2 Scandinavian 2-disc release, which has DTS on both cuts and the same extras.
The R1, R2 UK and R2 Scandinavian CE Uncut Edition's include a newly re-mastered transfer with new extras and commentaries (with US release having some minor extras over the UK release), do note that it has a slightly shorter time then the theatrical cut due to some tweaks made by the director.
