This production exists in three versions:
(1.) It first appeared on the BBC as a two-part version as "Flesh and Blood: A History of Hammer" broadcast on BBC1; part one on Saturday 6.8.1994 (50 minute time slot) and part two on Sunday 14.8.1994 (50 minute time slot); this version hasn't been released on DVD thus far (2023).
(2.) The two episodes were edited together into a feature length version released on DVD in 2004 (100 minutes NTSC = 96 minutes PAL).
(3.) Writer-director Ted Newsome (1952-2020) prepared a final version (to date) that expanded the feature length edit in 2015 (148 minutes NTSC = 142 minutes PAL).
NOTE:
This uses a lot of interview footage conducted for the 1987 BBC thirtieth anniversary of Hammer Horror documentary, Hammer: The Studio That Dripped Blood. -
