Raro Video is English-friendly while Artus Films makes a composite cut of the SD Italian master with the English HD master but it is not English-friendly. Both have exclusive extras.
GENERAL NOTES:
The film is available in two versions:
- the Italian release (~98 minutes at 24fps/~94 minutes at 25fps) featuring the original scene order and the downbeat ending (this version only survives as a video master);
- the re-edited English version (~84 minute at 24fps/~81 minutes at 25fps) which radically alters the structure, redubbing lines to make the girls and the hippie characters seem more frivolous, lazy, and reactionary, moves the ending up near the opening and using a freeze-frame to turn it into an escape, and moving a scene from early on to the ending for a gag. -
CUTS:
- Blu-ray ALL America- Raro Video - No cuts - includes the Italian version (97:41 NTSC) and the re-edited English version (83:48).
- Blu-ray B France- Artus Films - No cuts - includes the Italian version (98 mins) and the re-edited English version but not in English (~84 minutes, HD).
