Notes:Name: "Captain Nemo". 6 episodes spread over 6 discs (1 episode each - 6 individual snapper cases), total running time: 316 min. The 6-disc set was sold through a Spanish movie magazine "El Cinéfilo" in 2004 and presumably never intended for a wider distribution. It´s now OOP.

OVERALL: Draw
This one is difficult:
-R2 German "Version Integral"-release is the only release with English subtitles, but the only audio is a German dub.
-R2 Spanish -release has the longer running time (appr. 31 minutes) of the series, but it´s now hard to find. R2 French -set is shorter, but it has the better transfer (it has also interview). Note, that these both do not include any English subtitles.
This series is also known as:
-La Isla misteriosa
-L' Isola misteriosa e il Capitano Nemo
-Jules Verne's Mysterious Island of Captain Nemo
-Jules Verne's Mysterious Island of Dr. Nemo
-The Mysterious Island

CUTS:
- R2 France- Studio Canal - Total running time of discs 1-2 is 285 min (excluding 8 seconds of "Studio Canal" logo per episode). This is the original TV-series, but episodes 1-4 are slightly shorter/a different edit than in the Spanish DVD set. Still, this is an improvement over the repeat run and secam video release in the 1980's that had episodes 1-5 shortened.
- R2 Theatrical Version France- Roissy Films/Opening - No cuts, International theatrical version (edited from the TV-series) (103:48 PAL).
- R2 Theatrical Version Germany- Cult Cinema International (CCI) - No cuts - International theatrical version (edited from the TV-series) (101:13 PAL). Apart from a few minor scenes, identical footagewise with the French theatrical version DVD.
- R2 Version Integral Germany- Cult Cinema International (CCI) - No cuts - Version Integral (267:38 PAL). This is not the uncut "German TV-series" version, but a "Version integral" or super feature version with no intermissions. Along with the material present in the Spanish and French TV-serials available on DVD, several scenes from an obscure Spanish theatrical version have been incorporated. Please see more info from this link: http://www.cultmovies.dk/nemo/nemonews.htm
- R2 Theatrical Version Italy- Pulp Video - Yes - Italian theatrical version (edited from the TV-series) (99:34 PAL). The Italian TV-series differs somewhat from the International series and consequently so does the edited theatrical version. The Italian version offers a very confusing take on the story, missing huge chunks of exposition, rearranging scenes etc.
- R2 Spain- Viaje Con Musica - 316 min. This is the original TV-series. It carries the French opening and closing credits, but episodes 1-4 are slightly longer than those in the French DVD set. This is the longest DVD print of this series so far.
