The US Infinifilm, Holland SE, UK SE have extensive extras including a second commentary track and a documentary plus DTS-ES 6.1 and the original mono soundtracks. Note that the US Infinifilm includes a fact-track (subtitle track) and the interactive 'Infinifilm' clips are available to watch separately on the other releases or are part of the documentary.

The UK/Scandinavian Warner "A Nightmare on Elm Street Collection" have exclusive extras including two episodes of the TV series. Note they omit the original mono and many of the extras found on the US "The Nightmare on Elm Street Collection" bonus disc have been spread out to the other discs on the UK/Scandinavian collections. Also note that the US, UK, and Scandinavian collections only have one commentary for the first film and do not have the above listed special edition extras (although the US set has the original mono).

General Notes:
Wes Craven reveals in the commentary that the censors required a cut to the scene showing Tina's death. When she falls from the ceiling, the scene cuts to Rod as she hits the bed (rather than continue to show a splash of blood as her body hits the bed). This cut was necessary to obtain the R-rating for US theatrical release. Rewind User Scott Atkinson has confirmed that the R2 version is the same.
