OVERALL: Draw
Identical releases.
Note:
The Quatermass serials were broadcast live and the technology to record live TV was in its infancy in 1953 when "The Quatermass Experiment" was broadcast.
It basically involved pointing a film camera at a TV screen to create a Telecine recording. After the first two episodes, it was decided that the quality of the recording was too poor to justify the expense and none of the remaining four episodes were filmed. As a result, only the first two episodes exist in the archives. -
CUTS:
- R2 The Quatermass Collection United Kingdom- BBC - No cuts - Contains the only two episodes recorded (see notes) (66:47 PAL)
- R4 The Quatermass Collection Australia- Roadshow - No cuts - Contains the only two episodes recorded (see notes) (66:47 PAL)
