Notes:The director's cut transfer is much improved over the previous release. The Complete version is taken from a Dutch VHS master (and so looks about as good as that sounds) and has a large black bar obscuring the original Dutch subtitles, over which the forced English subtitles have been placed. The director's cut of the film is widely considered superior to the longer complete version.

The film has been released in its original 98 minute version and a slightly shorter edit, running 94 minutes and omitting some narrative material. This is often referred to as a 'director's cut'. (See the link at Melonfarmers for more details about the specific cuts.)
In the US, the film was released as 'Death's Ecstasy' (the title is sometimes written as 'Death's Ecstacy'); this version omitted most of the explicit material. (This version was also passed for VHS release by the BBFC in 1987.) -
