Between R1 SE and R4/R2 SEs for their restored 2.89:1 transfer, Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack and extra features, but do note R1 comes with additional goodies not found on R4/R2 versions.
Also note that previous releases offered a featurette missing on the new editions.
General notes - This was filmed in "Super Cinerama":
-2.20 : 1 (70 mm prints)
-2.68 : 1 (Screen ratio)
-2.75 : 1 (Ultra Panavision 70 mm prints)
Because of Cinerama's 3-camera projection system, there are two vertical lines about 2/3 of the way across the picture on both the left and right sides of the screen when it was shown in the theater, and this is the case in the DVD also.
The DVD releases only contain the flat widescreen ratio transfer, and not the curved smilebox transfer which can be found on the Blu-ray releases of "How the West Was Won"
NOTE:
Cinerama Adventure premiered at the Bradford Museum in March 2002 at 93 minutes. For the 2008 DVD and BD versions of How the West Was Won it was slightly expanded to 97 minutes and re-copyrighted 2008. -
