No. They aren't.

I've never read anything to back this up about any of the BR releases.

Yes, they are. I've compared to my Dutch DVDs and every movie has extra scenes. Death Wish 2 is heavily cut.
The rest aren't missing anything important, but still.

We have the cuts listed for the second film (2:58), but you said ALL of the them are cut. Can you provide details and links to back up your claim please?

Constantine (TV)
I don't know what to say... not bad, but nothing special, as with so many movies - 6/10

Game of Thrones: Season 1 (French Blu)
Rewatching of this first season. Not awesome, but a good introduction to the GOT universe, a good introduction for what's next! - 7/10

Beasts of the Southern Wild (TV)
Not bad, but really not my kind of movie - 5/10

Today's viewings:

Parkland (UK Blu) - An interesting film based around the staff of Parkland Hospital, police, government officials, secret service members, Lee Harvey Oswald's family and reporters the day JFK was assassinated. Zac Efron felt misplaced, but Paul Giamatti, who I normally find overrated, made up for it. 7/10

Tremors 2: Aftershocks (UK Blu) - Cheesy as hell and not as good as the first, but still a good laugh with good chemistry between the characters. I still like it. 6/10

Also watched episodes 6-11 of Boardwalk Empire: Season 1. One more episode left I think.

Yes

Is it really a TV movie? It was shown in theaters worldwide AFAIK. Atleast in the post-soviet part of the world.

[Reveal] Spoiler:
Viewed on normal TV channel rather than Blu, DVD etc. is what Vincent is saying.

Was it one of those 720p channels?

Today:

State of Emergency (UK Blu) - Low budget zombie movie which borrows heavily from The Crazies, yet is nowhere near as good, or as gripping. Some reasonable attempts at building the atmosphere though. 3/10

Tremors 3 (UK Blu) - You have to love it when at this stage in a series, a film of this ilk can still be fun. Ass-blasters. 6/10

Also, watched the final episode of Boardwalk Empire: Season 1. I have Season 2 DVR'ed also so will get round to that soon.

An Idiot Abroad: Series 1 (UK Blu) - Episodes 1-3. Love this show. Karl Pilkington says what most of us are thinking.

COBRA MISSION (first viewing, German dvd) - 6.5/10

This is a pretty good example of an Italian-German B-movie. Bought the dvd just for reminiscing the nostalgic days of my watching films on video. The awesome theatrical poster was what attracted me to watching it back then. The plot is a blend of Uncommon Valor and Rambo, but without the good parts of both.
*N=New to collection :-D, U=Upgrade :), DD=Double Dipping , R=Replacement for damaged disc :-?

Speaking of films watched, are you guys able to watch the http://www.sbs.com.au/movies/100clicks films, or is it only for those in Oz? I know they expire in appx 36+hours, but only just thought you may wish to watch these (if you can)...

Onto something else...

THE GOOD LIFE [LA BUENA VIDA, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1327798 ] 3.25/10 (logarithmic). The journey in attempting to reach a goal has many sidetracks, unexpected and unforeseen encounters. Pride in trying to accomplish something by oneself. Average script, ok direction, based on true stories, notable performance by Kuppenheim, and ok performances by Farias, Oyarzun, Paxeco.

MANUELA [ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0051017 ] 4.5/10 (logarithmic) Why women are considred ill-omens on ships. Lonely life at sea vs antsy/rooted/staid life on land for a certain people. Nuanced and quite well directed by Guy Hamilton from an average script, and well performed by Trevor, Armendariz, Martinelli, Pleasence.

Sculder, re your Film Aficionado list:
1) Does it allow you to export it? If so, into what formats please?
2) Does it allow you to enter notes per title?
3) Does it allow you to create your own columns/fields, or are they all preset?

You guys should try DVD Profiler. Lots of functionality, offline and online programs, more info, cast and crew linking etc etc. I think it's about $30 now for a lifetime subscription, but well worth it IMO. Just stay clear of the rubbish forums. My collection (still have roughly 4000) to add: http://www.invelos.com/DVDCollection.as ... chardscott
