I cannot be sure about the following, so I apologise in advance if I'm wrong.
On the "Mr Bean's Holiday" listing pages:
(dvd) http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/f ... ?fid=11550
(HD dvd) http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/f ... ?fid=12315
(bluray) http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/f ... ?fid=29917
I noticed that for all the DVD + HD-DVD listings, there are a total of 17-deleted-scenes per country listing. However I think for all the BluRay listings, there are only a total of 15-deleted-scenes per country listing. For all I know perhaps this is correct (a bit of strange mess up when they released this title on BluRay compared to other home media, but not unheard of). But on the other hand I'm wondering if maybe all the BluRays have 17-deleted-scenes too, and maybe they got overlooked when they were added to the database years ago?
(Also comparing the actual DVD deleted-scenes-titles to the BluRay's - some of the names don't match up - I don't know what's going on there, if they are correct or what...)
Mr. Bean's Holiday (bluray) - deleted scenes incomplete?

Judging from the runtime in total being almost identical, I assume it's the same content, but just reorganized differently.

I wouldn't really say the deleted-scenes runtime in total is almost identical:James-Masaki_Ryan wrote:Judging from the runtime in total being almost identical, I assume it's the same content, but just reorganized differently.
The DVD's runtime total of all the deleted-scenes is: 24-minutes exactly.
The BluRay runtime of all the deleted-scenes is: 21-minutes, 54-seconds.
***At least according to data on page. Also times taken + compared from UK DVD and BluRay listings only, to avoid confusion.
Maybe you're right and it is just reorganized differently somehow, but it seems like a large difference to me.

Re: Mr. Bean's Holiday (bluray) - deleted scenes incomplete?
Seems these are the differences:
DVD / HD-DVD:
- "Bean Asks About Train" (0:21)
- "Bean Gets Tie Stuck in Vending Machine" (1:22)
- "Bean Playing with Ring Tones" (0:41)
- "Bean Pilfers Gas from Unsuspecting Motorist" (1:22)
Blu-ray:
- "Bean Spills Coffee on Laptop" (1:10)
- "Car Owner Faces Off with Cashier" (1:19)
There is a chance that "Bean Pilfers Gas from Unsuspecting Motorist" and "Car Owner Faces Off with Cashier" may be the same scene.
"Bean Gets Tie Stuck in Vending Machine" is mentioned in review as being an alternate version of an existing scene in the movie.
---
EDIT: Reading up on it, it seems that are two cuts of the movie: US version and International version.
The difference in deleted scenes represent the differences between the two cuts.

Ah now that explains all the discrepancies, thankyou.Ulrich_Christensen wrote:EDIT: Reading up on it, it seems that are two cuts of the movie: US version and International version.

Such a pain when different country home media companies do that, have slightly different versions for US and UK/International - even if all the scenes are included as deleted-scenes, it's still annoying. A simple "play one version or the other" on the disc for every country release would be all that is needed. Plenty of other titles do the same thing, and if for just a few scene changes, it usually doesn't take up much space on the disc either.
Oh well, anyway based on that discovery, presumably it's a good idea that this data be added to the bottom of the listing pages in the "cuts" section - to show which versions have the US-version scenes, and which have UK/International-version scenes. (For example: The "Bean - The Ultimate Disaster Movie" has similar country home media differences and includes the alt-versions on its listing pages).

Re: Mr. Bean's Holiday (bluray) - deleted scenes incomplete?
I've updated the Blu-ray and HD DVD pages. Asked the person on the Blu-ray.com forum if he could provide specs for the US disc.
