Vampire Circus (1972) BD FAO Eric

Post by Brent_Reid »

I was going to post specs for the German Pidax BD but first need to ask them whether or not it has the line of missing dialogue. I don't own any BD yet; exactly when and what is the missing line?

Roughly 29:50-30:00, the woman says “I don’t know how to thank you,” over the shot of the child before kissing the man. You can see her mouth moving at the extreme right of the screen as the camera tilts up but it’s just an awkward silence in the MGM and ITV HD masters (the line was present in the PAL SD master, I don’t know about the US laserdisc master as that disc was extremely limited and sold out fast)

Great answer, Eric, thank you! It should be added to the listing footnotes. I've asked Pidax and others, so will post here once I get an answer.

Well, I asked the manufacturers, in a handful of different forums and even messaged several people who have bought the bloody thing, and not one of them has replied. Perhaps you can add your dropouts note to the footnotes and mark the undetermined discs as "unknown" for cuts.
