Just been watching Brian DePalmas underrated Body Double and the underrated actor Craig Wasson as the out of work actor who is determined to track down the killer of the girl he was obsessed with.Melanie Griffith is great as the adult film actress and DePalma uses his usual camera techniques and the Dutch angle in the tunnel - it’s one of my favourite films of all time.
Yesterday I watched Trauma a brilliant horror from Chile and the opening scenes are loosely based on real life incidents under the far right dictator Pinochet which he was ordered but as the film progresses to the present day 4 women are in nightmares of violence ahead due to the character Juan.
Dario Argento Tenebre - just brilliant and this beats Suspiria and Deep Red as my favourite of his films
