Providing the info for two releases for this movie:
Titanic (The) (TV) (1996)
http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/f ... ?fid=19158
As you probably already know, budget company Platinum Disc (PD) later become Echo Bridge (EB). Under both names, the company released this movie on DVD here in the U.S. Although the item number, and UPC number, for both releases is the same, surprisingly, the discs are 100% DIFFERENT! The original PD disc crams the 3-hour miniseries onto a single layer and presents both parts back to back. The later EB disc gives it dual layers for breathing room and presents both parts separately.
I currently have both releases in my possession, though I will give the Platinum Disc DVD to a friend next month, so I felt like giving you the details for both while I have them.

It probably say 2006 because of the release that includes a CD of the soundtrack.

What you probably have is a rerelease without the CD.

Re: Titanic (The) (TV) (1996) - Platinum Disc & Echo Bridge DVDs
I had no clue there was a release with a CD, but the CD doesn't look like it has anything to do with the film, so I'm fine with what I have. I'm just happy that Platinum Disc/Echo Bridge re-released the film on a dual-layer disc, and that I was lucky enough to find it in a thrift store for a Dollar - brand new, no less!Matthew_B_Harrah wrote: 27 Feb 2025 10:17 It probably say 2006 because of the release that includes a CD of the soundtrack.

Anyway, glad to help.
