Post by Markus_Lang »

I own this DVD.

Le Collectionneur by Jean Beaudin

R2 — Germany (Sunfilm)

Amaray case
1.78 : 1 anamorphic PAL
French Dolby Digital 5.1
French Dolby Digital 2.0 surround
German Dolby Digital 5.1
German Dolby Digital 2.0 surround
German DTS 5.1 @ 768 kbps
German subtitles
Runtime 110:25 (25 fps PAL — cuts: yes).

Extra features:
Deleted scenes (14:32)
Theatrical trailer (1:38)
Sketches (2:40)
Six cast & crew biographies (in German)
Bonus trailers
– The Hard Word (2:18)
– Purgatory Flats (1:56)
– Ginostra (1:48).

Notes: German title: The Collector (sic). – This release doesn't contain the original aspect ratio. – The movie is cut by some 8 minutes. The scene where Maud visits her parents is missing. It is included in the deleted scenes though. – This is the retail version. The rental version (which was released earlier) had a longer version of the trailer and therefore had "18" rating. Here the trailer is cut to obtain "16" rating. – There appears to be also an Italian and an Argentinian release with 4 : 3 ratio.

Here's a screenshot comparison between the theatrical trailer, German release and Finnish release:
