4K discs listing SDR, HDR, for existing entries
We'll finally be implementing SDR, HDR, HDR10, Dolby Vision for UHD listings in our database soon, and we need your help in updating existing entries.
For any existing entries, instead of creating a new thread each time, please list them here in this dedicated thread with the following info:
Title:
Country:
Releasing Studio:
HDR:
Source:
Under "HDR", please list all of which apply, whether SDR, HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision.
It's best if confirmed by disc in hand or through reviews, and not from the packaging as there can be misinformation on them.
Once they're updated, the information in this thread will be marked to know it's done in Red.
For any new titles, please make a new thread in the appropriate Your Comparisons area.
Thank you!

Re: 4K discs listing SDR, HDR, for existing entries
This is a generalization to keep in mind, but I own a lot of Disney UHD discs and from what I've seen on the Internet (specifically here: https://www.flatpanelshd.com/news.php?s ... 1603781613) and from what I myself have experienced, all titles only provide HDR, except for Black Panther and the original release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi which also support Dolby Vision as well.
Here's one example from a film I have in my collection:
Title: Monsters, Inc. (2001)
Country: US and Canada
Releasing Studio: Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment
HDR: HDR10
Source: I own the disc in question.

Also there is a typo on that page; DISC THREE, says DISC ONE. Just noticed it.

Re: 4K discs listing SDR, HDR, for existing entries
A thought came to mind that may help out a bit.
That HDR10+, wasn't available until 2019. So, any title from 2018 and below that offers HDR, should be HDR10, lest otherwise.
Of course any title with Dolby Vision, will always have a HDR10/+ to composite for those screens lacking Dolby Vision. We just need to identify which one.
Heres just one article [that if correct] states some of the first titles to hold HDR10+. This of course does not mean very title from then-on has HDR10+, but should lessen the question of doubt for earlier titles.

Re: 4K discs listing SDR, HDR, for existing entries
Just thought I'd mention that if a disc is encoded in HDR10+ then it MUST include HDR10. Same goes for Dolby Vision, as mentioned a few posts above.
Therefore for films that include HDR10+ and/or Dolby Vision, then HDR10 should also be mentioned.

Yes, you're correct, on that all UHD Discs with HDR, will have HDR10.Bodhi_Sarkar wrote:Just thought I'd mention that if a disc is encoded in HDR10+ then it MUST include HDR10. Same goes for Dolby Vision, as mentioned a few posts above.

However, [while I don't have official say on the topic,] our main point in not listing it [HDR10,] when HDR10+ is detected; is to specify the highest possible capability of which the specific disc can achieve for comparison peruses.
Such as here; https://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?d1=11435&d2=14592&c=2746 were one [presumably] offers HDR10, and the other gives us the superior Dolby Vision.
It's kind of like how we don't list the alternative audio option of which happens if someone's audio capability lack what's required for Dolby Atmos. I.E. Atmos converts to Dolby TrueHD 7/5.1, if no Atmos speakers/system is detected.

Noted about that.Bodhi_Sarkar wrote:Just thought I'd mention that if a disc is encoded in HDR10+ then it MUST include HDR10. Same goes for Dolby Vision, as mentioned a few posts above.

I'll come back to this thread sometime later once it gets more full with titles to update so I can do them all at once.
