The Wrecking Crew (1968) Blu-ray cuts status

Post by Mark_Meakin »

Is the UK Blu-ray version of THE WRECKING CREW now definitely uncut ?. The 1990's video submission lost around 6 seconds due to a double earclap during a fight near the end of the film (Can't remember offhand where without checking). Despite supposedly being a category cut for a 'PG', even '18' rated films like Kickboxer & The Quest routinely cut this imitative technique around the time & after even this video submission. As the film has retained it's 'PG' rating for Blu-ray, I would've expected an upgrade to a '12' at the very least. :). There appears to be no resubmission currently listed on the BBFC website which still needs some updating, including cuts running times previously available. Is the 'PG' rating on the case on the Amazon UK site correct ?.

I now own the UK release & can confirm Dean Martin's double ear-clap to one of Nigel Green's henchmen near the end, has been restored at a 'PG'.
