Planet Earth (2006) BD FAO Brent

Post by Brent_Reid »

US Discovery Channel BD ASIN: B001NPYSC2.
Spanish BD ASIN: B0053CABAE.

Initial copies of the UK set were mastered incorrectly on discs 2 and 3, and it was reissued with corrected discs; discussion here.

The BD listing says: General note: At the moment we are not 100% sure, whether the series was originally shot in "1080p" or "1080i".

It should be amended as the series has a variety of different sources, including 16 and/or 35 mm film, 1080i and/or 1080p DV, and even 720p DV and SD video. What hasn't been definitely ascertained is whether the original masters were first produced in 1080i or 1080p, or separately in both.

We don't have specs for that set yet. If you have it, please let us know the discs specs.

Silly me! I assumed the UK set would already be listed as a matter of course. I'm afraid I don't own the series at all.
