Hey, I'm a collector. I'm looking for info about foreign versions of John Dies at the End (JDatE), specifically those with official dubs (compared to dubs where they just record over the audible English)
1. Foreign dubs
Is there a resource to even see which ones officially exist, in general? I've moved past the dvdcompare page for JDatE, and that's not a judgement (I added the Spain one 5 years ago, and will add the Japanese one soon). IMDB is kinda shіt. I googled "John Morre No Final" (Portuguese), and got a specific IMDB hit for it... which was an auto-translation of the English page, denoted by the "/pt" in the URL. The Dubbing Database does not (yet) have JDatE.
I found (what sounds like) official dubs in Portuguese, Turkish, and Latin American Spanish on YouTube, but currently have no way to find their source. Heck, I can't even find good info on the ones I already own. I don't see any good resource to find out who did the Japanese voice of the female lead, por ejemplo.
2. Movie length
The movie should be 1hr35m, with a few seconds give/take for logo differences. The US and Japan DVDs are 99m, however the Spain and Germany DVDs are 95m. When I played the Japanese and Germany DVDs side by side, the shorter one was faster with a higher pitch. It was sped up. Does anyone know what's going on with that?
Thank you in advance for reading this far, regardless if you can help 8^)

On IMDb the run time is 99min. The US and Japan use NTSC system so on their discs film runs for 99min. Spain and Germany use PAL. Film runs at 24fps but PAL runs at 25fps. Because of this difference there is increase of 4.2% in pitch and speed that results from the conversion of film (or NTSC-TV) to the european PAL format. This effect is commonly known as PAL Speedup. And so 99min - 4% = 95min .Erich_Wanh wrote: 04 May 2025 19:48 2. Movie length
