The French release is in the correct aspect ratio and features some contextual material. However, note that it isn't English-friendly.

If you're tied to an English-friendly release, the R0 US release is the best option: it's in a more accurate aspect ratio than the German disc (the only other English-friendly release).

Also released in France and Italy.

• R0 America- Wild East Productions - No cuts known (91:14 NTSC).
• R2 Edition Speciale France- Sidonis - No known cuts.
• R2 Germany- X-Rated - Cut (87:21 PAL) - missing a brief moment of violence as Guy Maddison shoots a bandit, towards the end of the film (this moment is present in the German cinema version, included as an extra)
• R2 Italy- Titanus - No known cuts
