GENERAL NOTES:
The film exists in three primary versions:
- the Hong Kong version (~97 minutes) with the downbeat ending. A Japanese variant remained in Cantonese and added closing Cantonese narration;
- the Mandarin version (~98 minutes) dubbed in Mandarin only a the Hong Kong cut was dubbed in both Cantonese and Mandarin before the changes to the ending - with the reshot ending and courtroom coda. This version played in Mainland China, Taiwan, Singapore, and other Asian territories;
- the English export version (~92 minutes) based on the Chinese cut but featuring additional trims as well as a front title sequence on black rather than after the teaser as in the other versions.

• Blu-ray A Limited Edition America- Vinegar Syndrome - No cuts - includes the Hong Kong Version (97:14), the export version (92:04), and the Mandarin version (99:49), each with 35-second Fortune Star logo at the start.
