Notes:The new 5.1 track drifts in and out of sync at various points in the film.
The transfer is open matte rather than cropped.
Also available in a 4 film set with the 3 sequels.
This cut of the film seems to be a hybrid of the theatrical cut and the extended version of the film, containing some of the 'beats' and extra action from the extended cut but also including the fight with the endoskeleton at the end of the picture. -

OVERALL: Draw
The Japanese release has three cuts of the film on Blu-rays plus an option to watch the Japanese cut without burned-in subtitles, though note in dubbed form. Note the Japanese release does not include the intros and afterward.
The US release has three cuts of the film with all the extras found on the Japanese release and adds the intros and afterward.
The German release has four cuts of the film including a shortened German version, with some additional exclusive extras. Though note it only includes lossy Dolby Digital audio compared to the US and Japanese releases having LPCM audio for the theatrical cut.
