First up, we are pleased to announce that the best distributor for the "rest of world" (non-North American/UK) went to Camera Obscura, who have continually impressed our users with their releases of cult cinema. Some honourable mentions go to Anolis (Germany), Carlotta Films (France), and NSM Records (Austria). When it comes to announcing the best major studio, there was only one company in the running. REWIND AWARDS - BEST NORTH AMERICAN DISTRIBUTORSunday 10th January 2016 It is day 2 of our results unveiling, and today we reveal who you guys, our users, voted as the best distributor in North America. Like the UK category, there were quite a few labels mentioned, but one studio managed to just pip the others to the post. Winner - The winner of this category for 2015 was Shout! Factory who continued their growing success with plenty of new titles in their Scream Factory range to keep the horror fiends happy, as well as various catalogue titles. Honourable Mentions - The first honourable mention goes to Criterion who continue to upgrade some of their previously released titles to Blu-ray, whilst adding plenty of new titles. The home media market wouldn't be the same without these guys, especially when it comes to important films from throughout the history of cinema. Vinegar Syndrome, most famous for treating vintage erotica to some truly great transfers are next in line. When it comes to this genre, no other studio in the world, let alone North America, comes close. Last, but by no means least, Kino Lorber have kept many people extremely happy with their huge slate of forgotten yet much loved catalogue titles from MGM's archives. Long may it continue!
